January 2012 audit

Overall observation: they are going more and more toward the boutique look.
Decorative pillows, vases, end tables, and more - all of it is put together on shelf for you, coordinating in theme and color but with just enough variation that it doesn't look matchy-matchy. You could buy completely neutral furniture, pick up everything in one of these 4-foot sets, and have a complete room that looks designed to perfection.

Something new: brights—almost neon—with craft! (PS: I stole this bag from Safari Barbie.)

Animal done with fingerpaint.

Audit 11-21: How Target does eco

Ok, so textures and colors. This is reminiscent of layers of stone.

Woven, sometimes imperfect.

In print... animals. Cute owls and stuff.

Florals are done in silhouettes. Simplified or just berries and or leaves.

Florals are more just medallion shapes in toss patterns.

Lots of leaves.

Leaves, stripe, leaves, leaves, leaves, medallion floral.

This is who/what is stealing our lunch money?

This is something they are doing right—really soft, flexible faux planner
